About EMW Consulting
Through a lifelong relationship with dance, decades of experience in management consulting, executive leadership, and entrepreneurship, I partner with leaders and teams to build the strategy and human foundation where meaningful work creates lasting impact.
Culture and trust are the engine behind real results. I believe the most effective leaders develop from the inside out, integrating neuroscience, emotional intelligence, presence, and the wisdom of the body into how they communicate and lead.
As Liz Gilbert puts it, “you are not just a brain on a stick.”
My work lives at the intersection of the strategic and the deeply human. Whether you are navigating growth, leading through change, building a loyal team that performs, or finding the story that moves people to act, I bring the rigor of evidence-based practice and insight across industries and boardrooms.

Change That Actually Lasts
Even when your strategy is strong, most transformation efforts fall short because the human side is underestimated. People don't resist change so much as they struggle with the loss of control, identity, and hard-won competence.
Real transformation needs meaningful agency and genuine involvement from your entire team. That is what builds the kind of momentum that sustains new behaviors long after the urgency fades.
Weaving in somatic practice helps you regulate under pressure and recover from stress more quickly, finding your footing through the inevitable wobbles of change.
If you're curious to explore a novel leadership methodology, I would love to meet you.
About Erica
Erica served as the Chief People Officer at a hyper-growth InsurTech in NYC, bringing 15+ years of experience in leadership advisory, organizational psychology, and change management. She’s partnered with more than 200 multinational organizations across a wide range of industries, from healthcare and fintech to aerospace, nonprofits, and film and entertainment. She partners with leaders and teams to rethink how they work and scale what matters most. Her guiding framework, Embodying Meaningful Work (EMW), runs through everything she does: building organizations where people flourish and results follow.
Her path has been anything but linear, which is part of the adventure. After earning her Master's in Organizational Psychology/HRD from Villanova and completing undergraduate research on emotion processing at Temple University, Erica continued her studies at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management in partnership with the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute (SIYLI), a mindfulness and leadership program originally developed at Google. She was also part of a think-tank training conducted by Stanford's d.school, and later earned a coaching certification in the neuroscience of leadership through beAbove Leadership, and was mentored by Dr. Dan Radecki, founder of the Academy of Brain-Based Leadership.
During the height of the pandemic, she led resilience sessions for nurses and healthcare leaders across America. She collaborated with leaders from 21 countries on sustainability and futures thinking, all of it shaping a practice that is both rigorously grounded and deeply human.
What you might not expect: Erica is also a trained dinner-dance theater performer, embodiment facilitator, and former competitive dancer. From pro-am ballroom stages to improvisational movement and certified embodiment work, she understands in her bones what it means to lead from the inside ➝ out. That same somatic intelligence she’s carried across salsa floors and theatrical stages informs how she guides teams, attentive to what’s spoken and unspoken, responsive to the room, and always moving toward aliveness.
